MIDI RECORDINGS

Tutorial2 Blues This is a tune I invented while working with the Cakewalk program tutorial exercise on how to record MIDI. I was using an electric piano voice.
Moanin This is a rendition of Moanin I learned while taking a Jazz Improvisation Independent Study course from John Vames at Scottsdale Community College. I recorded it via My old Clavinovia MIDI interface mapped to an electronic piano.

MP3 RECORDINGS

Midnight Sun This song was written by Sonny Burke & Lionel Hampton with Lyrics by Johnny Mercer. I remember hearing it sung by June Christy as a theme song on the Daddy-O Daylie jazz radio program from Chicago.
Yesterdays Jerome Kern wrote this music with lyrics by Otto Harbach. I developed this arrangement of Yesterdays as an adjunct music track for a CD slide show presentation of pictures from my 50th high school reunion in Elgin, Illinois. This recording was made from my Mason & Hamlin.
Invention1 (by J.S. Bach) I learned this one of my recital pieces for my Class Piano Class at SCC, in the Fall of 2002. I recorded this on a Yamaha P90 with Grand Piano 1 voice.
Invention8 I love J.S. Bach's music. I am trying to expand my repertoire of classical music pieces and improve my technique. I recorded this on a Yamaha P90 with harpsichord voice.
Solfeggietto This piece by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is a good practice piece for me (and it still needs more). This was recorded on my Mason & Hamlin grand piano on February 19, 2006.
Sonata in C This was the first Mozart piece Nic had me work on. For me it is pretty long, and I have trouble playing it through without errors. I went on to other pieces, but now I've returned to it, trying to perform it without (significant) errors. I'll keep trying until I get it right! I recorded this on February 18, 2006.
Clair de Lune I have always enjoyed this peaceful music by de Busse. It has been more difficult for me to play than I expected. I recorded this on the P90 on February 20, 2006.
Soundscape Journey I created this composition on my Yamaha P90 to support a meditative state of
mind (31Jan08). Thank you Rachel Eckroth, for helping me discover new musical
ideas within myself.
EGAD! This is an experimental creation, using my Yamaha P90 in conjunction with a Roland XV2020 Synth Module. What can I say?
Nocturne Chopin Op. 72 No. 1 - This is a practice recording 10Jul08, Played on Yamaha P90
