The main components of the home studio are the Notebook computer, Firewire 410 Mobile Recording Interface, M-Audio BX5 Studio Speakers, and a pair of Oktava MK 12 Condenser Microphones.

The Mason & Hamlin grand piano is used for audio recordings and the Yamaha P-90 is used for MIDI recordings.

I am quite pleased with the capabilities of this equipment. I can easily record at a full 24-bit, 96kHz rate and produce Wave, MP3 or OGG files. I can also create normal music CDs that can be played on any regular CD player.
